Poultry Farm Labourer Responsibilities
The successful applicant will support daily operations at a commercial poultry farm. Duties include monitoring flock health, feeding birds, maintaining water systems, and assisting with animal welfare procedures.
Workers will also complete general farm cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance, egg collection, and egg transportation. A Class 2 vehicle will be used for transporting eggs and supporting collection duties.
Following workplace health and safety procedures and farm biosecurity requirements is an important part of the role.
Requirements
Previous poultry experience is not required because full training is provided onsite. Applicants should be physically fit and comfortable performing manual farm work.
Candidates must have a current Class 2 Driver Licence and be comfortable working around livestock. Reliability, punctuality, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to follow established procedures are important.
Applicants should also understand animal welfare requirements or show willingness to learn and follow proper welfare standards.
