Welder-Fitter Responsibilities
Successful candidates will work with welding equipment and follow technical specifications during fabrication work.
Main responsibilities include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications
- Operating manual welding equipment
- Operating semi-automatic welding equipment
- Working with fully automated welding equipment
- Reading and interpreting welding blueprints
- Understanding technical drawings and specifications
- Following welding manuals and established processes
- Working safely in a structural steel fabrication environment
- Using welding equipment according to workplace procedures
The role requires attention to technical details and the ability to follow welding specifications accurately.
Requirements
Applicants should have 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience. A trades certificate or diploma is also required.
Candidates should have practical experience with welding equipment and understand welding drawings, blueprints, specifications, and processes.
Good English communication skills are required for this position.
