Welder Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform welding and metal fabrication duties in an industrial setting. Responsibilities include reading welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and welding process instructions.

The role also involves examining completed welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.

Workers will operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, oxygen arc cutting equipment, welding machines, brazing and soldering equipment, and various metal shaping machines.

Additional duties include operating brakes and shears, fitting and brazing metal, torch-straightening, determining material weldability, and using hoisting and lifting equipment.

The position also includes operating and monitoring a robotic welding production line and performing minor maintenance and repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Required Experience and Skills

Applicants should have 1 to less than 2 years of welding experience and a secondary school graduation certificate.

Experience working with aluminum alloys is listed as a specialization for the position.
